Boys & Girls Clubs of Benton Harbor — Make a Difference Event
In 2018, the Clubs took on a new fundraising model that changed the way they interact with the public and how they ask for money—starting with weekly tours at the Club and ending with a single event asking for donations from tour attendees.
The star of the new Make a Difference event was a 7-minute video with a simple creative brief: evoke emotion with three cries, no narrator, no facts—just show the Clubs' impact on real people by telling their "before, intervention and after" story.
With over 220 attendees at the Make a Difference event, the Clubs raised more than $540,000 in sustainable donations pledged over five years.
Welcome video for new employees. During the pandemic, this video was used as a way to welcome and engage new employees who would be working from home.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Benton Harbor — Our Mission
Edit of an existing video to accomplish a new goal: Mission education. The original 7 minute video was meant to evoke emotion to inspire donations. The new edit could be no longer than 4 minutes and needed to educate people on the basics of the Club mission. A new introduction was shot using a teen Club member to set up the video.
